Privacy Policy

PrepZone is an online interview preparation service operated by Kishore Bhosale (Sole Proprietor), based in India and reachable at Bangalore, Karnataka 560036, India. For any privacy question, write to preparationzone26@gmail.com. We are the data fiduciary for the information described below.

We only collect what we need to run your account and deliver the service.

• Account details. Your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
• Google Sign-In details. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, email address, display name, and whether Google has verified that email. We do not receive your Google password and we do not request access to Gmail, Drive, Contacts, or any other Google service.
• Profile information. Optional details you choose to add, such as your target role, experience level, contact number, and current employer.
• Learning activity. Practice attempts, mock interview results, revision progress, and readiness scores.
• Payment records. Order identifiers, payment identifiers, amount, currency, and payment status returned by our payment gateway. Card numbers, UPI credentials, CVV, and bank passwords never reach our servers.
• Technical data. Basic request information such as IP address and browser type, used for security and error diagnosis.

• To create and authenticate your account.
• To deliver the learning content, practice, and mock interview features.
• To process payments and grant or renew paid access.
• To send transactional email such as email verification, password reset, and payment confirmation.
• To respond to your support requests.
• To detect abuse, prevent fraud, and keep the service secure.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or profiling.

• Google LLC — used only to verify your identity when you choose Google Sign-In.
• Razorpay Software Private Limited — our payment gateway. When you pay, your payment instrument details are collected directly by Razorpay on their PCI-DSS compliant checkout, not by us.
• Our email provider — used to deliver verification and account emails.
• Google Cloud Platform — hosts our application and database.

We may also disclose information where required by Indian law or a valid legal request.

We use only what is necessary to keep you signed in. After you log in, a session token is stored in your browser's local storage, and some of your learning preferences are cached locally so the app loads quickly. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers. Clearing your browser storage signs you out.

Account and learning data is kept for as long as your account exists. Payment records are retained for the period required by Indian tax and accounting rules. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except records we are legally obliged to keep.

In line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, delete your account and associated data, or withdraw consent for optional processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email preparationzone26@gmail.com from the address registered on your account. We respond within 30 days. Deleting your account also removes the link between your PrepZone profile and your Google account.

Passwords are hashed, traffic is served over HTTPS, and access to our production database is restricted. Google Sign-In tokens are verified on our server before any session is issued. No online service can promise perfect security, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

The service is intended for users aged 18 and above. Users below 18 may use it only with verifiable consent from a parent or guardian. If we learn that we hold data about a child without such consent, we delete it.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. The date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version, and material changes will be announced by email or an in-app notice.
